Châtel
Châtel closes the Portes du Soleil on the eastern side and opens onto Switzerland. The village has kept its farming character, and the domain offers the best gradient-to-crowds ratio of the four.

Linga

Châtel’s technical sector: long, consistent reds, excellent for working on turn shape.
Super-Châtel
1200 – 1650 m
The gentle, south-facing side, and the crossing to Morgins in Switzerland.
Plaine Dranse
1400 – 2000 m
The crossroads of the sector, and where my off-piste outings towards the border start.
